True Indigo

Case: Excellent condition case with thick and even lugs. 18K yellow gold fluted bezel is crisp and remains sharp. Overall light signs of use. 8.26 million serial.

Dial: Excellent condition and rarely seen indigo blue dial. The original tritium lume on the hands and dial have aged to a nice cream color. Correct open 6/9 date wheel.

Bracelet: The 20 link jubilee bracelet is in great condition with minimal stretch for its age. Clasp has an H code dating it to 1983.

Accessories: None. Watch only.

Notes: Initially added to the visible electromagnetic spectrum by Issac Newton, the color between blue and purple, indigo has since had a rocky path as many argue whether it can actually be distinguished between the two aforementioned colors; this is largely due to the insensitivity of human photoreceptors to indigos corresponding wavelength. In spite of this debacle, I’m going to go ahead and say this dial color is true indigo.
